Heath Park Perform In Nationwide Festival

On Wednesday 9th November, a group of year 8 and 9 students performed their version of Macbeth for the Shakespeare Schools Festival at the Grand Theatre.

This is a nationwide festival that sees over 1100 schools and 30,000 student performers take part in performances that celebrate and reinvent Shakespeare’s classic plays.

The students have worked tirelessly after school to rehearse the play and explore how they could put their individual stamp on this well-known piece. Throughout this process, and when visiting the theatre for workshops and rehearsals, our students have been complimented on their professionalism, focus and overall standard of their work. Their final performance was really engaging and showed how many talented students we have in school. They received wonderful applause and the feedback was brilliant.

Congratulations to all the students involved, we are hugely proud of what you achieved.
